Ugly people in Graviton City
The citizens of Graviton City seem to be either very good looking, or incredibly ugly. A running joke throughout the movie seems to be to have ugly people in the background of other scenes.
Another common trait in Graviton citizens is missing teeth. This may be a reference to director Katsuhiko Nishijima, who was missing several teeth when Project A-ko was made, and claims when interviewed in the Project A-ko Secret File that the sole reason he agreed to work on the movie was to earn enough money to buy new teeth!
