Cast and Crew
The main reason for the existance of Project A-ko was that many of the creative staff in the anime industry in the mid eighties felt constrained by the industry's demand for titles that sold well, meet producer's expectations or fit some demographic. They wanted to have a free slate to work on whatever they liked. Yuji Moriyama and Katsuhiko Nishijima formed their own production company and set to work making the movie they wanted to make. Word quickly spread and soon other well known and unknown names in the anime industry were asking to join them.
The production crew of Project A-ko went on to become some of the most successful and well known members of the anime community, and are still producing outstanding anime today. Follow the links below to learn more about the cast.
